This tool helps you select the correct JVA electric fence energiser for your fence.
1) Enter the total fenced area in the first box. I.e. the size of the property or the part of the property, that you want to power with the energiser.
2) Select the units: acres, hectares or square km. if no value is entered, the tool defaults to acres.
3) Enter the number of internal paddocks. If no value is entered, the tool assumes 1 paddock.
4) If your property is not roughly square, enter the length of the longest side.
5) Click submit and the correct energiser will be shown.
Note: if you just want to calculate a single length of boundary fence, leave the "total fenced area" box blank and just enter the length of fence into the "longest side" box.

| The recommendations given by this tool are based on the use of 2.5mm galvanized steel fence wire. We recommend that you consult with JVA to see if the recommended energiser is right for your particular propery. The tool assumes that you are able to place the energiser in the centre of the property. Method: We assume a square property. So, if you have a rectangular property use the "longest side" option. If you enter a number of paddocks we assume these are all the same size and that all internal fences are powered. |
